Why Help Translate ?

Why Help Translate ? Why help translate the material at this website ?

Because  you are a Christian.

Because  you want to help other people.

Because you understand that true help means providing genuine long-term spiritual encouragement.

Because you found this page, and you know that you have skills and gifts that CAN help others.

Because you want to make a difference for Eternity.

Because there is a difference between being a writer and a translator. We do offer writers the change to write for us, but there is a bit of a program that can take time, and slow the process of actual writing. And it takes time to go through that program. But by working as a translator, the articles have already been written, so there is no need for a system of reading books, and other things that may take time.

Being a Translator from English into other languages, is a way that you can instantly do something, instantly start, and instantly connect with the world at large. It does take commitment, but it is something that can be done at a pace that can fit in a bit easier than other projects.  And if an article is not quite clear, or if you have questions, your own analysis and help can be understood when you write back to us with your questions about articles, or the sense of a sentence, or asking about what the author of the article intended to convey. In other words, you are helping and making a difference not only through the direct translation, but also by taking the steps to ask questions in order to make the article into a better end-product (result) in the foreign language version of the article.

Because you know that just like you, what we care about is the actual work, and the actual effort and the good results. We do not care if you have 10 years of college or if you have 5 degrees. We only care that you are able to do, what you inform us that you can do. It is pretty straighforward.

Because the highest value in Christianity is helping people find God, and helping them during their life (and in their choices) on their spiritual journey, and you understand that this website wants to do this, and tries to do this.

Because  we give a voice to those who have none.

It is often hard to find websites in other languages that address the concerns that we do. We care about Human Rights, we care about the lonely and the people of the world who have no one else to speak for them.

Because  we are an encouragement to Christian and moral LEADERS. We are an encouragement to leaders around the world.

We encourage pastors and group leaders, and study groups, and students, and help them to know that others are out here with the same cares, the same concerns, the same issues that they are concerned about.  Sometimes, a little bit of encouragement goes a long way.

Because  you understand that you want to act in obedience to the Lord. You know that you have the opportunity to help, and you are willing to use the spiritual gifts and edification that you know you can provide.

Because you are concerned BOTH about your local community and the wider body of Christ. You understand that it takes time for other people to learn, and to find answers, and to find encouragement, and you know that this is one of the ways that this process will continue, with your help.

Because you know that you can have confidence in the material that we use. We may sometimes say a few things that are not popular, and truth is not always easy to hear, but you know that you can rest assured that our highest goal is accuracy, and that we have the documentation and sources to back up and support the statements that we make.

Because you know that we support traditional and historic Christianity. We are not interested in any new doctrine. Our goal is glorify God in what we do, and to provide Encouragement and support to believers around the world.

Because we approach the discussion of difficult issues with courage, authenticity and commitment. It is easy to find people who SAY that they will do many things. Finding ministries that actually write the hard articles, or find the rare historic research, or bring back books that have been impossible to find, those are actions that are based on solid and long-term commitment.

Because  you know that we support the relationship between an individual and God (through Jesus Christ alone), and that is it. We are not into supporting hierarchies, structures of bureaucracy, and princes in robes who are committed more to themselves than they are to their Church or Congregation.

Because you are someone who wants to be a DOER - someone who takes action - and not only someone who talks. Many people talk very well, but they do not follow up, they do not take the initiative, they are not seriously committed  to making their world a better place. But you are.

Because  you know that God works through encouragement as well as through the explaining of Sound Doctrine, and that people must be able to find those answers in order to understand how God works.

Because  you already know and recognize that even though many people DO speak and read English, Many others do not. Therefore your translation work can provide an indispensable method to be able to reach others, that otherwise you would not be able to help and to reach.

Because  you know that we are committed to the O.T. and N.T. and to the distribution of copies of the N.T. around the world. We understand that what sustains Christians is THEIR OWN relationship with God, and therefore we seek to encourage THAT.  By contrast, we do NOT encourage Fads, Trends, easy-believism, quick answers, or "8 minutes with Jesus" programs.  Christianity is about relationship and strength from God, not about all sorts of programs that only produce temporary Feel-Good statistics and cost churches much-too-much in terms of time and funds.

Because  you want to multiply your impact, and you know that we can - ( "we" collectively, with your help) -  reach thousands of people for the Lord.

Because you already know that Christianity is a team-sport, it is a collaborative effort. It is based on communicating love and help and hope in the midst of difficult circumstances.  Being part of the team

is your way of honoring God and giving back to Him, some of the time and some of the talents that He has blessed you with.

Because you understand that ultimately, spiritual growth must be founded and depends on the New Testament, and on the concepts and teachings that are found within its pages, and that there must be exposition, contrast, help and analysis of these teachings, in order for others to be able to be encouraged.

Because  we provide a socially acceptable happy "meeting point" . Sometimes in some cultures, being able to meet other people or being able to provide help or ministry to other people is socially difficult. The circumstances may be difficult or the situation may be hard to know how to approach.  But by helping us, you can translate some of the material, and encourage other people to find this and to link to that material.

That is one more way that you can provide encouragement to others. This is work that will have make a permanent difference.  Nothing that we do for the Lord is forgotten.

All of the work and investment that we each makes counts, and it counts for Eternity.  And in the process, we are able to help others.

foreign language bilingual - christian volunteer - Help wanted with Translation work for Christian Organization

Hello,

1. Thank you for you for your interest in Christian work.

2. We are a Christian organization. We are interested in finding translators who are willing to volunteer to help us.

3. We work to provide encouraging books about Christianity to people all around the planet in all languages.

4. We provide many of the basic books (about Christianity) in Electronic Format for Free and without cost.

5. We offer books in English, German, Spanish, Latin and Ancient Greek. We hope to add other languages also.

6. We also offer many articles in many languages. Most of those articles are about the Positive role of Christians and Christianity around the world.

7. If you are interested in helping as a translator, we would like to ask you to answer the following questions,

So that we can understand more and learn more about you and your situation.

8. You are NOT obligated to be formally employed as a translator.

9. You can simply be a person who knows 1) your language and 2) English.

10. If you are interested in helping, we do ask that you provide us with the answers to these questions in English.

11. Answering these questions will help us learn how to work with you and your skills as a translator.

12.We are very pleased to work with laymen (ordinary good people) and those who are not translators on a full-time basis.

God uses those who have a willing heart to serve Him.

13. If you have not worked as a translator before, that is alright.

14. The Topics that you would be perhaps translating would include this material: -v-

Who is God, -v-What is the Bible, -v- Who Wrote the Bible, -v- How can I trust the New Testament, -v- What did the first Christians believe,  -v- who is Jesus Christ, -v-  what does God think of Human conduct at this moment in time, -v- what is the best New Testament to use, -v-  is there one version better than another, -v-  what is the historic position of christianity concerning human freedom and personal liberty,  -v- how can I know God, -v-  How can I learn to understand what the will of God is for me, --v-  christianity and human rights, -v-  why God is against slavery, -v- does God have a plan for my life, -v- how can I serve God,  -v- are some Bibles more accurate or more literal than others,  -v-What is the best version of the Bible in my language, -v-  How can I receive additional training in Christianity, -v- Is it possible to be saved by good works,  -v- what does the love of God actually mean for me, what is the importance of the Old Testament, -v- Does Jerusalem matter to Christians,  -v- What do I need to do in order to pray, -v-  does God care about me, and more.  -v-

15. What do I need to learn in order to translate articles that deal or concentrate on these subjects ?

The main thing you would need to know is your own language and English. We do care that you would be a Christian, and that you would want to know God more, and that you would want to help your generation and those who are younger. But you are not required to be a theologian. We already have most of these articles written. All that needs to be done is for them to be translated. When you have questions we will work with you to be sure that you understand the language of the article.

As a translator who works on these issues in translation, we care very much about your heart, your inner spiritual condition.

We also care that you are able to understand and translate from one language to another.

We continue to attempt to find additional translators. We seek translators to help write reports about books (book reports).

We seek those who can read books in your own (native language / mother tongue), and inform us of the contents of certain books or certain websites.

We seek people who can work doing SIMPLE translation projects, as well as those who are able to do a bit more complex translation.

What we do hope for, is that we can have conversations and dialogues with you about the translation work.

It is normal that we ask questions. It is part of our nature and personality that we ask many questions.

We encourage you to ask questions also, if you would like.

We want to be able to ask for clarification of certain words, concepts, sentences or paragraphs.

And we would like you to have the same freedom to do this with us.

We understand that translation is a work of collaboration.

We do not care how old you are. You are presumed to be of legal age or volunteering with the consent of your parents. We do not care if you are older. In many cases, the older you are, the better it is. There are thousands of people who wonder what they can do with their life or their time. They do not have special skills except they like to read and they know different languages. Those are great skills to have. There are many ways that your skills could be encouraging many other people around the world.

If you are here on this earth, God has a plan for your life, otherwise you would not be here. Some of that plan includes helping other people. We offer a way for you to be able to do this, knowing you can have an impact for Eternity.

We support Free Speech.

We support the right of each person to think for themselves.

We support the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Man.

We support the American Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution, which recognizes personal freedom for everyone.

We acknowledge the difference between individual people and their own govenments.

We support your right to have access to information.

We support your right to arrive at  your own conclusions.

We stand against slavery, which still continues today with millions of people around the planet who are held illegally.

To force anyone to believe anything against their will is morally wrong.

True Christianity is not afraid of Questions. True Christians encourage questions.

Authentic religions are NOT afraid of questions that are asked, by persons who are from other religions.

Religions that believe that THEY have accurate answers, are NOT afraid to receive or hear questions that are difficult to answer.

IF God exists, God must have the intelligence to understand that those who are trying to find Him will have questions.

In order to find God, many of those questions must be asked, and answered.

People become like the God they serve.

Individuals acquire (obtain) the attributes of the gods that they worship, adore and serve.

If the god that a person worships and follows is a God of love and Kindness, then THAT is what the followers of that God will also be like.

If the God that a person follows is a God who practices hatred or vengeance or slavery, then THAT is what the followers of that god will be in favor of.

The God of the Universe is willing to offer forgiveness to each individual who truly seeks to find Him, and who is willing to sincerely ask God for help and assistance.

People do not seek to find God because they are good or perfect. People seek to find GOD because they know that they are imperfect and that they need the help and forgiveness of a loving God, in order to be better, and to be transformed on the inside.

Christians support the human rights of ALL persons, regardless of their religion.

Christians support the Freedom of Thought of all Christians, Moslems, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and Others.

Millions [Hundreds of Millions] of Christians exist around the world who are independent of the Vatican, and of the Roman Catholic Church.

A person cannot become a Christian by external conformity to Christianity.

A person cannot become a Christian by simply declaring that they are a Christian.

A person becomes a Christian because of what they sincerely and truly believe inside themselves, in their spirit, when no one can know for sure or measure this.

God evaluates who is a true Christian.

True and accurate Christianity is found in the pages of the New Testament.

God who is in Heaven is the God who made each and every single person.

Each person has Great and inherent (Inestimable / great) personal worth and value to God.

God values Young People, Old People and every one else also.

True Christians cannot pray to Mary (the mother of Jesus) because Mary was not perfect.

Mary was born a sinner. Jesus Christ was perfect, because He has always existed.

If Mary was perfect because of the perfection of Jesus Christ, then what status would this imply, for the Mother of Mary ?  or the Grandmother of Mary ? or the Great-Grandmother of Mary ?

Mary was never worshipped or prayed to when she was alive.

The Followers of Jesus Christ, the Desciples and the Apostles and the Authors of the New Testament never prayed to Mary.

Mary does not have the capacity to intercede with God on behalf of Humans. That position is reserved exclusively and only for Jesus Christ.

True Christians do not pray to other humans, only to God through Jesus Christ.

God - The true God - can forgive any sincere person of anything that they have done.

God waits to give forgiveness to those who ask Him, who pray sincerely to find Him, and who sincerely Repent of their Sins.

We support the right of each individual to engage in an occupation (job / work) that will provide him (or her) with the method to live, to exist, to grow personally, and to continue to learn as a lifelong process.

We pray that God would keep each and every single person from being deceived spiritually. These times [this time-period] are difficult, overwhleming and confusing times to live in.

Dear Lord, I thank you for the information that is presented here that I am able to learn about or be reminded of. I thank you that I can take a moment to pray for a few others.  I pray that you would help those who work for and with this ministry to be able to continue to accomplish work for you. I pray that you would be with them, and that you would watch over them and that you would protect them spiritually and in every other way. I pray that you would accelerate their work so that they can continue to present more information to others.  I pray that you would prevent any harm from coming to them and prevent them from being slowed down or being distracted.  I pray that you would help them and those who come to this website to be committed to your truth and to a love of the truth. Please increase my own discernment and continue to bless and help this ministry also. Please Remind me to pray for this ministry more often.  I ask these things in the name of Jesus, Amen

Prayer Requests - What to ask God for

Does God hear some prayers more than others ? - How to Pray

Pray this prayer, sincerely to God, and He will hear you and save you  - Dear God, I am talking to you because I want to know you better, and I want to have Eternal Life. God, I pray today that you would forgive me of all of my sins in the name of Jesus Christ. I ask you Lord for your help to get through this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ...I pray that you would cleanse me of all of my sins and of everything that I have done wrong, and that you would give me Eternal life. Lord God, I believe in your Son Jesus Christ, and I believe that He died for my sins on the Cross and that He was resurrected thanks to your power and glory. Today, right now, I put my faith in Jesus Christ alone and in His sacrifice for me through his death and resurrection on the cross, and in nothing else. I thank you Lord for helping me today and for finding me and for reaching out to me. I thank you that I know that from now on, I can come and pray and talk with you anytime, and that you will hear my prayers. I thank you and give you praise and glory for saving me. I pray that you would give me the courage and strength to learn more about you. I pray that you would send people into my life that would help me grow very strong spiritually. I pray that you would grant me great spiritual discernment (undertanding) and that you would prepare me and my heart for the days and the events that we are now experiencing.  I pray that you would help me to love you more and to love your Word, the Bible and to start reading it regularly. Thank you for all that you have done for me through the blood of Jesus Christ,  I ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Christian Conversions - According to the Bible - Can NEVER be forced.

Any Conversion to Christianity which would be "Forced" would NOT be recognized by God. It is in His True and KIND nature, that those who come to Him and choose to believe in Him, must come to Him OF THEIR OWN FREE WILL.

Don't Let anyone tell you that Christians support Forced Conversions.

That is False. True Christianity is NEVER forced.

KEY LEGAL CASES INVOLVING FREE SPEECH and the FIRST AMENDMENT

(TO U.S. Bill of Rights, Rights that ALL American Citizens have)

Hague v. C.I.O., 307 U.S. 496 (1939).
The United States Supreme Court held that citizens have a "guaranteed access" to streets, parks, and other "traditional public forum." The privilege to use the streets and parks for communication of views may be regulated in the best interests of all, but it must not, under the guise of regulation, be abridged or denied. Mere inconvenience to the government will not outweigh free speech interests. The government must use the least restrictive means of achieving legitimate, content neutral objectives.

Schneider v. State, 308 U.S. 147 (1939). The United States Supreme Court did not allow cities to completely forbid leaflet distribution in order to prevent littering. The objective of keeping the streets clean does not outweigh the right to distribute literature in public.

Freedman v. Maryland, 380 U.S. 51 (1965). Public officials may
not be given overly broad discretion to grant or deny permits or licenses for free speech.

Cantwell v. Connecticut, 310 U.S. 296 (1940). Speech may
not be prohibited merely because it offends some listeners.

Kunz v. New York, 340 U.S. 290 (1951). The United States Supreme Court did not allow a permit to include any restrictions on a speaker's right of free expression. Permits may not be used as a prior restraint on free speech activities. Inappropriate or illegal activities may only be punished after they have occurred.

Forsyth County v. The Nationalist Movement, 112 S.Ct. 2395 (1992). A city may
not consider the listeners' reaction to a speaker when permitting free speech activities.

Cox v. Louisiana, 379 U.S. 536 (1965). Hecklers may
not be allowed to veto a speaker's right of free speech. Police must control a crowd rather than arrest the speaker in order to maintain order. Regulations may be imposed on free speech to control traffic flow.

Gregory v. City of Chicago, 394 U.S. 111 (1969). Peaceful marching, chanting, and singing is protected by the First Amendment.

Grayned v. Rockford, 408 U.S. 104 (1972)
. Free speech expression may be regulated for noise content in appropriate places such as hospitals or schools while classes are in session. The general test is to ask whether the expressive activity is basically incompatible with the normal activities of a particular place at a particular time. Unamplified speech is permissible for "street preachers" on public streets.
