MORMONISM

Mormons themselves - as a rule - have succesfully distinguished themselves in the 1900s largely for their

positive family values. The vast majority of Mormons are good citizens who attempt to do what they can

to create a better world. They have strong family ties and are a good example of what Christians claim

While every system may have its "problem children", overall, mormons strive to have a positive impact on their communities.

However, mormonism has ties to several different systems of religion that are OUTSIDE of Historic Christianity.

There is the positive side of Mormonism, but there is also the secretiveness of their Temples, the hidden

directives that they teach, and the additional teachings that they add and incorporate into Mormonism.

Mormonism contains certain Christian traditions. But many of the teachings of mormonism remain outside of Christianity. Mormonism is essentially a syncretist religion that incorporates BOTH Christian elements as well as occult and pagan components. IN addition there are also ties between mormonism and the singularly occult system of re-innovated Freemasonry of Albert Pike.

While the Bible affirms that Jesus is exclusively the one and only begotten Son of God, Mormons believe that after death they will become God. The system of mormonism has been described as a system of salvation by Good works. There is no exclusive reliance in mormonism upon the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ for salvation.

Many Mormons are well educated, and very much steeped in their own teachings and doctrines. They are so convinced that they are correct, that some of them have not stopped to consider whether there is OTHER information about Mormonism that they (the Mormons) have not had access to.

The censorship in the mainstream of Mormonism is a real phenomenon, but not one that most Mormons perceive.

Mormonism is an offshoot of the theologies of Arius and Origen, who affirmed that Jesus Christ was the prototype for how each of us can achieve his own divinity and save himself (herself), rather than affirming the New Testament Doctrine of Jesus Christ as the one and only begotten Son of God, who was a pre-existent member of the Trinitarian Godhead (Trinity) BEFORE HE came to Earth to volunteer Himself to die as the exclusive once-and-forever attonement for all the sins of Mankind.

Most mormons are instructed that they are reconnecting with earlier Christianity. But as they have not studied historic Christianity, nor have they had access to documents in foreign languages, most of them have very little understanding of sources in Latin or Koine Greek, let alone the modern languages of Europe. As a result, their knowledge-base of historic Christianity is very small.

As with most extra-Biblical groups, Mormons do have a solid grasp of their own religious system, but have a slanted and innacurate view of Historic Christianity. The issue of the recent Evangelical Bible versions has elevated theological confusion to a new level. This is reflected in the Evangelical-Mormon dialogue. Mormons often adopt not only the KJV, but also the New International Version, and in some cases the Greek Nestle-Aland

(which is a Vatican-based translation of the Greek Invention of Westcott and Hort). Many evangelicals have accepted the NIV and Nestle-Aland (greek Text) as the Bibles which they [those versions] are not.

Most evangelicals are unfamiliar with historic Christianity, or the history of their own doctrines, or the history of the transmission of the New Testament Text, or the necessity of preserving the internal content of the New Testament. Evangelicals often are ignorant that most of their denominations even have a history. As a result, most of them are easy targets of alternate systems of religion that promise the very depth that Evangelicals would find, if only they learned about their own history and roots.

(Most evangelicals have still done almost no personal research on this topic, adopting instead to rely on false experts whom most evangelicals are instructed to treat as "pope" in the area of versions).

As a result, evangelicals are being misled first by their modern sloppy innacurate versions of the New Testament, and then by those who are advocates of Anti-Jesus worldview.

The Identity of Jesus Christ is significant to the Mormons. However, the mormon understanding of who Jesus Christ is, deviates significantly from the standard Christian definition, and stands in contrast to Jesus Christ as described in the New Testament.

Mormons deny this often, but not having studied either Koine Greek New Testaments that predate 1880, and not having had access to Historic Christianity within their own enclaves, how would they actually know what the characteristics of the Historic Jesus Christ really are, and how their understanding of HIM is so different ?
